The graph is ridiculous. I'm sure many/most have seen Clayton's run already; however the torque plateau that these cars produce is just astounding. It's almost hard to believe it's a FI car.
Not sure if Shawn took pictures of the work we did today or not; however, we had to do it twice, as Clayton gave it a try on his own car and I'm confident that I could remove the airbox, install the SSTT and throw the airbox back in the car in less than 30 minutes. It's truly is THAT easy. Oh and the car is even more ridiculous after this mod... Clayton can correct me if I'm wrong, but I would say that Shawn's car was pulling around 3/4 car lengths per gear during a cat and mouse chase we did. It was pretty impressive. |

Did you disconnect the battery?
I read many threads on the E90 forum recommending disconnecting the battery for 1 hour. This resets the ECU and allows the ECU to adapt more quickly/completely. Many have also felt more power as a result. |

Shawn, any issues with the battery disconnect? Such as settings reverting to default for ancillary items (beyond losing radio presets)? Any re-programming of anti-theft codes, etc?
Also thanks for sharing this - looks like a good alternative for some of us not wanting to re-wire the ECU. ; -) |

Glad your having fun. Though, I am somewhat confused by the first dyno posted above. Something is not right, the torque and HP don't converge where they should.
:iono: Anyways.. If you ever head downtown for a Red Wing game or Tigers, let me know I will meet up with you. Want to check the 135i out more. I get jeleous when I read threads like this, but I have to stick to my home improvement plans this summer. I'll be joining the 135i club soon enough. |

I have been going back and forth between the JB2 and the SSTT and after I read your review I thought that SSTT is the way for me to go as well. Then I came across a post on N54Tech stating the downside of the SSTT is that with < 93 octane and high ambient temps you get timing retard. Since I live in AZ where all the gas that I have seen is less than 93 and the temps are always high, this would likely be an issue for me.
