Got the "Call"! Heading to Oklahoma on Monday to pick her up!

Well, the "call" finally came in from my CA and the car has arrived at the dealership. Man I don't know if I can sleep tonight.

Heading out at 6AM so I could be there ASAP.

I do want to thank all the guys who helped me understand and follow the ordering process.

Congradulations man! I remember when you ordered your car those many months ago. Haha. Take care of her. Remember, no higher than 99MPH on the way back.

Thanks guys! After almost two long months on order, we finally picked her up today. The CA and F&I guys were super nice at Cooper BMW and treated us like Royalty.

The car was brought into the showroom! Like a show car and it looked like it too: just incredible! This is the only way they deliver new cars in A/C controlled comfortable show area.
It had just 5 miles on it and we added 200 on the trip home. The drive and handling is outstanding.

Off topic but why did you have to drive to OK to pick it up? Aren't there enough dealers in your area?

I guess I do need to explain a little bit. None of the dealers in the Dallas Metroplex were willing to make a deal worth signing. They are rude and arrogant!

So I faxed Oklahoma and other states in the vicinity to finally get the deal I wanted.

DallasBimmer, I'm considering buying my car out of state as well. Did this add any confusion/difficulties to process? Also, did you pay TX or OK sales tax?

Good question. This actually took away from the confusion and made it less difficult for me. I paid OK tax at 3.25% vs. 6.25% in Tx.

Ummmm.... unless you're going to keep your title in the state of Oklahoma, you're going to have to pay the Texas tax rate. This will come up if you go to transfer the title to Texas when you go into the DMV to get your plate in place of the temp plate you have now. Otherwise, if you plan on keeping it titled in Oklahoma I guess you're going to have to drive back to Oklahoma to get a standarized plate.

Either way you're lucky. I have to pay 7% tax here in Florida!

Yeh, they applied for real plates and will mail them to my house when they come in.
