Will this void my warranty?

I'm putting vinyl overlays over the BMW logos on the hood, trunk, tires, and steering wheel.

Is there some obscure rule that I can't tamper at all with the BMW logo, and if I do it voids the warranty?

Anybody know?

It would be pretty damn absurd to get your warranty voided for putting some vinyl on your car. I don't think that will cause any problems at all. Any reason why you're covering the BMW logos?

No it will not.

A warranty is a form of insurance and there are federal and state laws that regulate warranties. A dealer can not void your warranty because you modded your car. They can deny your warranty claim for a specific issue , if your modification caused the problem in question.

If you are going to mod your car know your rights. Attach is the SEMA page on handling warranty issues.

Most of the time you just have to say "I know my right under the Magnusson Moss Warranty act and the case law" and the dealer will back off and do what is right

For defacing the Bavarian colors, a BMW representative will come to your house and kick you in the nuts.

ok... not really, but some of them are extremely fanatical when it comes to their cars.
