Rates dropped for CANADA!!!!!
Good news got an email from my SR today letting me know the rates dropped
"BMW just lowered the finance and lease rates on the 1 Series. Lease rates are 6.9% up 39 month and finance is 5.9% up 60 months." So now I don't have to wait till May.... YES!!! whose happy even thou its not as low as we want it too but its better then the 7.75% leasing and 6.75% financing we originally got.. |

Well I am going over for a test drive today and talk about the numbers.. I originally wanted to finance but then decided to lease but now since the rates are down I might be able to look at financing the car again.. so we'll see...

I hope you realise that the rate change will only lower your monthly payment by about $20 a month across 60 months.

I guarantee they will drop again, it is just a matter of when and how long you are willing to wait.

haha no hopes here... he said that in mid/early march, and he was right I guess, but I wouldn't dare say they will drop again, in all honesty...
also, the rates drop your monthly payment by 20 bucks (which is, as I said before, one or two cheeseburger combos), but the total cost of borrowing (interest) drops by over a thousand (for me). that is always good. combine that with lump sum early payments and you're all set (in MY mind) |

I'd have to guess that with supply being as limited as it is... the rates won't drop much lower if at all for some time. I believe Canada is only receiving a very restricted supply. I heard 2500/yr, with possible decreases next year following the US's cutback (no reference on this.. feel free to correct me)

Cuts to US volumes have nothing to do with Canadian volumes, they are making a lot more on these vehicles in Canada. Supply for this vehivle is not as limited as you think.
Everyone on here thought they were not going to lower them this quick, if at all. They will be lowered again, likely by June for sure by September. |

I have been quoted:
6.9% 36 mos 60000 km 59% residual 6.9% 39 mos 65000 km 58% residual This means that the reduction is an "honest" one in that they have not fiddled with the residuals at the same time. I think this puts us in line with the US leases. This no longer offends me. |
