Glitchy text on iDrive until warmed up any ideas?

Hi all, bought the vehicle from a friend its pretty much immaculate but does have this irritating issue (which wasnt concelaled) but im hoping someone may have seen it before, after about 10 minutes it stops doing it and is fine lol.

2017 - Evo ID5 i think...

I'm inclined to think its more likely the the idrive box rather than the screen at this moment.

The first thing I'd check is the connection between the HU and screen.
