My Amp, passed away ! i need asap a replacement ! Please help me with your suggestions a part of buying a original Harman Kardon 12 channels

Best amplifier replacement upgrades below. All include an upgrade to a new modern DSP system that is light years ahead of the 12 year old DSP in the BMW Harman Kardon system.

BMW BASE AUDIO
For BMW Base Audio System (not sold in US), the Audiotec Fischer Match 7DSP amplifier, plus 1-2 Match cable harnesses to run from trunk amp location to head end in the dash. This makes it plug-n-play.

BMW HIFI AUDIO
For BMW HiFi Audio System (lowest level sold in US), the Audiotec Fischer Match 7BMW amplifier. This is a totally plug-n-play system that replaces the stock factory amplifier.

BMW TOP HIFI/ HARMAN KARDON
For BMW Top HiFi/Harman Kardon Audio System, the Audiotec Fischer Match 10DSP amplifier. Plus a Mobridge DA-G2 is needed to handle the conversion from the HK fiber optic headend to the 10DSP. This replaces the stock HK factory amplifier.

UNDERSEAT SUBWOOFER UPGRADE
All three of these Match amplifiers are like two amplifiers in one chassis. The have a separate higher power amplifier for the two underseat subwoofers. Upgrade the underseat subwoofers to Earthquake SWS-8Xi (2-ohm). Earthquake spacers at about $27 per pair are needed for the installation into the BMW underseat speaker cabinets.

I’m going to throw the Mobridge K2 8.1.1 amp in here as well. Takes up less space than the original and sounds great. Tons of tuning options and it can handle a dedicated sub in the rear. Also plug and play with the Technic harness and requires no re-coding for MOST applications replacing a stock HK amp while keeping all factory chimes/front & rear PCD, etc.

With this combo also consider other alternatives for underseat woofers as you don’t need the SWS for its low range performance with a trunk sub. Something like Morels work nicely if you want great well articulated bass to the point where a trunk sub kicks in.

Have this combo running two pairs of Focal es100ks, Morel underseat and old but well preforming Boston Acoustics sub.
Run active on the front es100ks.

Nice soundstage that sits above the dash and has great extension left and right. Bass is tight and articulate and sub bass can reach from 15hz -60hz and is way beyond the capabilities of any drop in underseat woofer solution.
