Tinted windows in AW

Quick question Should I go all the way and do 20% or be more conservative with 35% with AW??? Thanks for any feedback!

Personally I like the look of dark tint on white cars but how much are tint laws enforced in your state? I think the contrast often makes dark tint on white cars look even darker than it is. I have 34% on my car and with a meter it reads 28%. MD law is 35% but i have never been pulled over. My car is blue.

That's a good question. Mine is going to get tint, I just haven't decided on the level. I'll probably be fairly conservative though.

I think 35% all around is the best. TOO dark is hard to see out of at night. Plus you WILL get harrassed by the oinkers

I plan to get 20% with Montego as soon as I get my plates in and the dealer sticker out of the window.

It's hard to get an accurate picture of the level of my tint but 34% is good for me. I might go a bit lower if I get a AW car. This is how my 34 that reads 28% with a meter looks in sunlight. My headliner is grey and my interior is black . This also makes a big difference. My friends Carbon Black M3 with black interior and black headliner looks darker even though we have the same tint.

Is the front window tinted 34% as well? That looks pretty good, I think you are right about the black interior making it look darker, which can be a good thing...

It's finally HERE!!! AW with 35% tints all rounds.

My 135i showed up today at my local dealership. It's already PDI-ed and ready to go home today, but I don't have time until this Saturday to pick her up
Anyway, I took a few pics of her today after work, so I'll share it with you guys in this thread. What you see here is dealer installed ceramic tints @ 35%. It looks soooo GORGEOUS in person. My photos just doesn't do it justice. I think it looked dark enough for my personal taste. I was checking out the car for 20 minutes, and I had about a dozen compliments regarding the color combo with tints! I'm in love, and I'm going to struggle to sleep tonight.
More pics after this Saturday.

I got Madico ceramic 35% on my AW 135. Totally unhappy. It's is WAY too light. My g/f's MINI has 15% front 5% rear. It looks so much better.

Still trying to decide if I am going to have the tint redone with ceramic again, or just go cheap and get metallic. Gonna talk to the service guy @ dealer today about it. Gotta take my car in anyhow...

Yes it's great!

Too dark and you will have issues driving at night! It's nice to be able to see the cars around you.

Also too dark it can look a bit too gangsta

EspressoBoy

PS
Anyone asks... just tell them % darker usually are the cheaper tints to get the UV, higher quality ones don't need the high numbers to block UV
