Tire Rack Wheel configurator!

I've got some good news on this front, folks.

The 135i from MWerks showed up here today. Our guys were able to pull measurements from it for the configurator.

Now it's just a matter of building the files and getting it online. I don't have an exact date but it appears it will be sooner rather than later.

It appears the wheel fitments will be similar to the E46 fitments.

It's supposed to be delivered today or tomorrow. I'm just waiting for confirmation of arrival then I'm headed to get it.

Gill, is the track wider in the rear (at the hub surface where the wheel mounts) and if so by how many mm? Just wondering if the staggered wheels (with different offsets) are the reason there's a difference in widths (track) front to rear measured from the outer wheel edges.

Well definitely not an answer to my questions, if this was an attempt???

To put it more simply, if you mount the same wheel (size, offset, etc.) front and rear, do the rears follow the front's exact track or are the rears following in a slightly wider track? I thought I read somewhere that the rears had a slightly wider track, but that could have been a difference due to offset. Anyone know?

well the rear tires are wider which would account for a wider track in the rear, correct? :iono:

OK, so if you shed the OEM 7.5"/8.5" staggered setup and mount a 18x8 et 40 front and rear the outside edge of the wheel changes in the following:

- Front extends out 15mm
- Rear extends out 6 mm

So at this point are they tracking identically? I'm hoping so...
