Hi,
I have a problem in my f31 from 2016. The ventilation system has 3 selection options. Head, chest and feet. As you can see on the driver side I can select all three of them. On the passenger side I can only select chest and feet. I don't know where to start problem shooting. Has anyone an idea where to start? That's normal. It's in your manual.
I don't understand. On the passenger side I also need to be able to select window, head and feet just like driver side I assume. Edit.. I mean head, chest and feet. |

The dash-level occupant facing vents and footwell vents I can understand being a personal preference and so controlled individually, but window clearing should only be controlled by the driver.
So it's a single, driver-only control for the whole set of window blowers. It's not like you'd only want to clear one of the side windows? |

Ok so you are saying that on the drive side there are no three marks. Only head and feet? Just like you can see on my video? |

Maybe the pictures below help.
Current situation. Only feet and chest is selectable like picture below. And on the other picture you can see feet , chest and head... Or maybe I should say. I really don't know where to start troubleshooting Changed tekst to head chest and feet. |

You'll have to check yours, but when I have the driver's side set for the windshield the passenger side is activated as well. It may not show it on the display, but I can feel it when I put my hand over the vents. As for that bottom picture, is that a UK car? In which case the right side is the driver's side.

Hold open a moment, I'll get some photos... ETA: right...after a little testing (i.e. I tried every possible option of fan position settings). Tried the 3 settings on the passenger side (body, legs, body + legs), and tried all the options on driver side (body, legs, screen, body + screen, legs + screen, body + legs, body + legs + screen) The ONLY way I can get the 2 side window vents to blow out any air is to turn the windscreen demist button on. The screen option on the driver control just blows air onto the windscreen NOT the side windows. Last edited by mmm-five; 01-26-2024 at 07:58 AM.. Reason: Update |
