Canadian 1er Allocations?
Has anyone heard the volume numbers for the 1er in Canada?
If there are only going to be around 13 000 in the first year in the US I cant imagine we would have any more than 500 in Canada. Although from what they are saying on the other threads is that they want to keep the volume down because of the low margins in the US. Since we all know they are making a lot more on the car in Canada maybe they wont restrict our volumes. I apologize if this has already been discussed on here but I looked around and didnt see any topics on the subject. |

YYZATC, this is a copy of the post I made on the U.S. forum asking basically the same question. I received no response.
"Can anyone clarify if this is U.S. allocations only or all of North America? Up hear in the Great White North we are paying a fair bit for our 1's. My loaded (no auto or nav) 135i Cab came out to almost $69,000 including Freight,PDI and Tax so hardly an entry level car. Considering our $ is now on par with the U.S., BMW Canada has to be making more on the 1 than in the States. Also, as far as I know, the 3 series is not being discounted in our market and there is little chance that the 1 will cut in to those sales." |
