I helped drive one of the cars from Montgomery to Birmingham this afternoon. They had a good selection of cars to drive including a new M3 and a B7 Alpina and then the standard lot of 335, 650, 750 etc.

Unhappy

Unfortunately for those who haven't gone yet, they do not have the 1 series at all, the best thing they have is the M3 but with the weather of today, it wasn't very fun

I didn't think the Ultimate Drive started this early in the year. Guess I will have to look into it. Nate

Well the event finally made its way to South Carolina today. Had the opportunity to drive a 135 vert, 535 and B7 Alpina. I was surprised on how well the Alpina drove. I expected a harsher ride but it was very smooth and handled great. Surprised that they just put you into the cars with very little vehicle indoctrination. For the money, I think I would rather have the 5 series. I didn't like the gear shift mechanism in the Alpina as it was somewhat difficult to shift. During the drive, rumor has it that someone got pulled over by the local law enforcement authority. The 135 didn't have the sports package. I immediately missed the extra support of the sports seats.
