I-Drive
I need feedback from all of you who are experienced with Nav / I-drive...ASAP...Because I still have time to dump it!
Is it worthy? Or, just an expensive waste.... Are you getting NAV on your 1er???? |

I've used the i drive before and i didnt like it. I found it to be a lil buggy and annoying to use. I also didnt like the built in nav w/ my friends 3 series. I personally opted out of idrive/nav and will stick with my garmin
but many others love idrive |

I have it. It's very nice to have an integrated solution. Use it for a day, and you've pretty much mastered it. I did not order it on my 135i, since my cellphone (HTC Kaiser/TyTNII) does a better job at navigation than the onboard nav does. I just couldn't justify the expense.
If you frequently use it in your current car, and can't do without it, get it. If you're a Sales guy and frequently get lost using maps, get it. If you only need directions occasionally, skip it. There are better and cheaper options for intermittent usage, that you can transfer with you. |

yes, you use it for just about every function in your car. i got it because i hate having a aftermarket nav system because they dont give you the sleek look of an in dash one. Plus after playing with it in my test drive, its very fun and entertaining to use. The 135i dash just looks to plain without it.
