Dinan performance upgrades

Who has personal experience with Dinan performance products?

Should I wait for Dinan to come out with upgrades, or do it now, with another manufacturer? I need to consider warranty.

Don't hold your breath on engine mods. The N52 isn't going to make much more power than it already does in (US) 330 mode.

I personally think the wait is worth it.

My older 325is had the Dinan chip to remove the speed governor. I liked the extra horses it gave and I never had to worry about the fuel injectors cutting off and the car lurching forward.

I will get the new Dinan download to remove the speed governor on my 330 once it’s released. Plus Dinan is the only products 100% covered under the warranty.

I’m spoke with a Dinan rep about a month ago and most of their products are near completion of development. The basic download will increase the HP but not sure how much.

I was told by my BMW parts person that does the Dinan installs that the intake won’t give the 330 enough horsepower to make it worth it. This was based on HP gain versus how much it will cost.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

id have to say it depends on what your waiting for. As far as chips id say that you can consider other manufacturers, like active autoworks or places like this. But when you do physicall engine mods and what not i prefer to wait for dinan. But on my friends e46 m3 he has a stage 2 active autoworks supercharger and its great. So it all depends.
