Idea of what a blacked out 1er coupe could look like. Agressive!
Mods, I know this isn't a coupe but just wanted everyone to get an idea of what a blacked out 1er coupe's front end with upgraded angel eyes could look like. Please don't move

this does look good but I personnally have something against all black cars. Its just such an obvious and easy color scheme. Not much skill or creativity. Yeah on this one they have played with different finishs but I think color or shades really make cars look better

First off, this is my first post - Hi all!
Love this look. Been steadily blacking out my MCS bit by bit, all that's left are the headlight trim rings and tails... Black is best until they come out with something darker (IMHO)! Speaking of the matte finish... On the recent Street Tuner Challenge series on SPEED, with the Focus/MINI/Evo lineup, Skunk2 achieved the matte black look on a stock black paint finish on the Evo, much like the hood/roof of the hatch above... They didn't go too much into it, but they mentioned sanding down the clearcoat, and had a few seconds of footage showing one of the guys literally wet sanding the finish by hand. Anyone seen this, or know how it's done? Seems like it'd be a real pain to get an overall uniform look, not to mention time consuming to complete a whole car... Just wondering... this post reminded me of it... |

I personally think this car looks good, but it is not "stealthy" enough. If you are going to go with Matte black in some areas why have any chrome/shiny pieces on the car? It almost kills the whole black on black look.
I know I will have a black/black/black car. As much as I can get black I will. The car will be Jet black, with black leatherette, matte black OZ Ultraleggeras, Shadowline trim, and what ever is chrome/shiny on the car will be blacked out. It is the only way to make the car look nice and like JuniorMint said it is not creative enough having just the black theme. My car wont be a black themed car it WILL be black. When you see the car finished JuniorMint you will cream your pants. |
