Was at a stop light minding my own business when a cop pulls up alongside me and stops short right next to me (his lane had no one in it so he could have pulled two cars ahead), rolls down his window and im like, shit (my tints!). then he asks:

what color is that? thats fucking sweet!

he then tells me about his coworkers m4 and mentions launch control. i tell him i dont race or speed so i have no idea what hes talking about lol. luckily my radar detector wasnt going off as hes talking to me.

light turns green, i pull away slowly and go on my way.

anyways, thought it was an interesting interaction. thundernight metallic is definitely a conversation starter. with other men and the popo, that is.

Yeah not all cops are bad dudes. I had a cop next to me once in my vette during a corvettes at carlise huge vette show. Anyway I look over at him ask him if he wants the hit he sorta chuckled when it turned green we both hit it lol.

Love the oyster leather. Would have gotten that on mine but I wear raw denim 99.99% of the time so the leather would end up looking like a smurf got murdered in it.

Got this same setup, didn't want the shadow line since the grey outline shows the Thundernight better. i should be doing a pickup this Thursday and returning my F22 M240.....def willll be missed and my long beach blue color.

I've had so many people say how much they love the color. (I guess people who don't like it don't say anything :-) , but the number of positive responses is crazy.) Several non-BMW people have asked for the name of the colour so they can paint their car the same color.

A few weeks back I saw someone eyeing out my car while I was parked. I walked up to him and asked what he thought of it. He said “That’s your car? I ordered one last week.” We chatted for 15 minutes about it, how he loved the color. I told him I had it 22 months and still love it.
