Cool what will you do?

for as long as i have been on here i have noticed that there is a wide variety of people spanning a large age group. It has got me thinking what percentage of people will actually tune and improve performance on the 135i and who will just merely daily drive it to the office and back? Me being 24 i am no longerr wanting an all out sports car but i DO want to drive at VIR when i get the chance too. i'm going for no more than a basic 135i no bells, no whistles just 2 turbo's a 6speed big brakes and alpine white. i was hoping that maybe there would be enough of a croud that actually want to track there car that there could be an arranged meet?

I voted for DD + track time. I have never AutoXd but fully intend to autoX my 1 if Im able to get my hands on one. Ive seen countless solos, but i was always riding because I was affraid to blow the motor in my car due to a lack of rev limiter.
As far as modification, chip and cat-back will be very likely, but wheels and tires will be first. Having an extra set of lighter+non run-flats will serve as the autoX/summer setup. BBS LMs... RS-GTs?
But yeah, as a 23year old soon to be graduate, Im definitely lookin to find the limits of this reletively high performance vehicle.

Im a track nut. I have a E30 M3 being built right now in Gr.A Spec for VARAC and CTCC here in Canada, but i would still want to track/autoX my 1. Too addictied i guess lol

that's cool, i have tried auto x-ing before and never really got into it, i enjoy higher speeds too much lol, i'm aiming for around 450-500 at the wheels on pump gas (wishfull thinking maybe?) start out with suspension and wheels then get to the good stuff.

I think this car will be mainly for individuals who are dealing with a to b and want to do it in style and willing enough to drop the pedal when time comes to show people its juices. God will i love it when i drop the clutch and leave people who think this little machine just a small powered BMW!

lol tracks day's can be real harsh on a car but in IMO it's completley worth it, go as fast as you dare to and not get into trouble from the law..... it's heaven lol

i thin it will handle really well with a decent coilover setup, maybe some KW variant 3's, i've heard that the understear alot in corners but that's an easy fix.

I'd use my 1-er for daily driving, Dragon trips, and one or two open track days a year [when I don't take my MINI!]

There are a few 335i's at around 400whp with all the basic bolt-ons. 450whp may be theoretically possible, but most likely highly unrealiable as you will be stressing the turbos/fueling system/internals. 400whp is plenty fast. :roundel:
