E90 Efficient Dynamics
Hi!
My E90 Efficient Dynamics has just destroyed it's self....Low oil pressure warning on the dash, I dipped the clutch and coasted into a layby but as I rolled to a stand it clattered and died. So I'm left trying to find a replacement engine. Is the N47D20 fitted in the ED's physically and different to the N47D20's fitted in the standard ES model? If there are any differences can this be overcome by fitting manifolds from the old engine or ancillaries? Thanks in advance! |

IIRC the ED got the N47D20C with the electric EGR valve and different rocker cover. Injectors are Euro5 too if I'm not mistaken.
Some coolant pipes moved around a bit I think between N47D20A and N47D20C but only in terms of different plastic flanges on the same basic block. Then some more stuff changed with the N47N. At some point bmw ditched the bushing for the balance shaft gear but that's not important. |
