Rear Defrost

2006 325i. Rear defrost only works occasionally, and when it does its weak. Is this common? Is there a common fix?

How old is your battery?

I noticed on my 330 the rear defroster wasn't working all the time, and also noticed at the same time my blower motor wouldn't run at high speed. Replaced and registered a new battery and both the rear defroster and blower fan work perfectly fine now. Something about the car limiting those heavy power functions when the battery is old/low/weak.
