I cannot stand the sound. The only time it sounds good is down shifting. If you close your eyes and imagine that going by your house... "Oh my, a *** just went by in a Honda Accord V6 with one of those giant silver mufflers they sell at Track Auto... where is my rifle dear?"

RICE should stay in bowls.

Your posts remind me of those ignorant car companies that underestimated "RICE" in the 80's and now look at them now. I love german cars but the japanese automakers are going to continue to stick it to them until they've accomplished whatever they sought out(Nissan GT-R, Lexus LF-A, Next-gen NSX). "Rice" will never be the same.

You're misunderstanding the context in which he's using the word.

If I had to guess on the sound of the exaust I would say it came from a subaru or a RX-7. I've heard way better exausts than that.

Trust me. I fully understand the context of the word "rice." I'm quite familiar with the scene. I just didnt appreciate the post as a whole.

Oh I completely agree that he should have phrased his post in a more positive way.

I was in no way defending what he said, simply pointing out that his post was not an American vs Japanese comment as suggested by your reply. The use of the word "RICE" to refer to Japanese manufacturers along with a comment about the quality of their cars implied a misunderstanding of the term.

Rice isn't a car or manufacturer, it what you do to a car..!

I personally laugh at the "Ricer" mentality, because typically those people are more concernd about having their car look faster, than actually spending the $$ and making their car faster. Their shouting out to the world and trying to get noticed, even if it's 2:30 in the morning and that riced out Honda Accord is comming down the street with those giant silver mufflers and waking everybody up..!

this is the one i like too. if i wanted a catback, i would get this one. however, when i get the 135i, i think i'm going to run a downpipe with a high-flow cat, to the stock catback to avoid police attention. they're pretty strict where i live. i'd rather have a high-flow catted downpipe going into the stock exhaust than the downpipe into an aftermarket catback making it sound buzzy.
