Hey all, I was messing with “Signal Tones” in Bimmercode under Reciver Audio Module.
I did some research and found people on the G20 forums doing it, they get iDrive 8 sounds on their iDrive 7 units. My G01 being a pre-facelift has the “semi” iDrive 7, and I’ve been getting a mix of, iDrive 6 Blinker Click BMW i Gong and stock PDC sounds The PDC seems to be a bit laggy, the Blinker Ticking is quieter than usual, and BMW i chime?!? It seems like Pre-Lci iDrive7 can’t produce the sounds correctly, but who knows Decided to go back to stock, but it seems interesting, maybe a LCI G01 or G02 can let us know how it sounds. I’ve included some sounds from my G01, and iDrive6 F82 blinker tick for reference. Videos for reference. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...85Jf_CF8K2bj5W Here’s the G20 thread, https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2018331 |

Looks like one of the Google videos is an X3 M40, so apparently someone has.

Can’t get the videos to play but I’m curious what it sounds like

I used Bimmercode to change my '22 X3's tones to "Rolls-Royce". There are about 5 different choices in the selection menu.

It is supposed to change all sounds coming from the speaker: Gong, Blinkers, PDC, and things like that. It seems like Full iDrive 7 vehicles “LCI X3/4” have no issues, but cars with “semi iDrive 7” “PRE LCI X3/4” are not capable of playing proper audio.
