Why is it that the US, their biggest market and where most of the money is made for BMW is always last to get the new stuff and kick butt videos/marketing!?!?! BMW listen up...we want our junk!!

That series of videos is a perfect example of trying too hard. I do however feel it captures the extremely obsessive complusive nature of the BMW enthuisast very well. I just kept being distracted by Tom Green playing the main character, especially when they call him "sir". I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

I would also love to hear from someone who can explain how that sort of marketing (in English with caucasian characters) is supposed to resonate with oriental/Japanese sensabilities. Perhaps I should pour some good local Bourbon rewatch "Lost in Translation".

Oh by the way, I find the subliminal runflat propaganda in the second episode to be extremely insulting. Don't try to pump people full of fear, those sort of tactics reek of George Bush.

If I was better with computers, I'd turn the whole thing on its ear and make a "Chacarron" edit out of the series just so something totally absurd exists in the space-time continuum to balance out that unnecessarily and overwhelmingly neurotic series of videos.

It would be even better if it was a coupe instead of a hatch!

Well those were some cool video's but this has to be the best BMW film I have ever seen. It's and oldie but a goodie!

I couldn't stop laughing and my favorite part has to be when he snaps his fingers while doing a drift.

Cool videos! I just wish they had used the new coupe. I like the Japanese horror vibe too. I agree with dsm9 though, The Star is the best BMW film ever.
