1-series pricing
I'm curious, what does the 1er cost in Europe? I keep hearing talk about this car coming to the US.. I wonder what BMW would price this car to be competitive? I love the Z-coupe but would also consider a 1series sedan or 3 door hatchback.

I think the problem is that even though the 1er is cheaper than the cheapest 3 series, it's still too close in price. Once you option out a 1 series car it often comes very close to an entry level 3er. Hopefully BMW is smart enough to price this car very aggressively when they bring it to the US. Maybe make less profit on the car but get more people to buy so they get hooked on BMW's for life and end up moving up to a 3, 5, 7 later on in life when they have more $$

I would like to see it come in around 27k base (i.e stripper) with a N51 2.5L or N52 3.0L. I see the range topping out (with those engines) around 40K (this is with every convievable option checked).
