View service history

Probably a simple answer, how do I view my service history for my vehicle online?

I am specifically trying to find out how much mileage I have been doing for the last few years and it should be detailed in my history.

Thanks guys

Not sure you can; think you can get it from your local dealer though

Would the check MOT service give you what you need?

I drive and MOT?

I didn't know that entries can be added to the I drive, a friend of mine picked up a 430D and the service entries had just been added all in one go, the previous owner had left the receipt in the glove box for the local guy who did coding services.

So the next time it goes to BMW and they make a service entry on the i-drive if the previous services have not been logged on the BMW main server by whoever did the work, they'll all be wiped off. BMW system deletes all entries then reinstalls it again but with the updated srevice history, so you only get what is registered on the BMW servers.

Someone told me recently, and I have no reason to disbelieve them, that ANY VAT registered company can register to gain access to BMW main servers.

The Independent I use registers their service on my iDrive. It comes up with their company name. Strangely the BMW dealer entries are listed from bottom to top, and then the independents are stacked at the bottom of the list (ie below the first/oldest BMW service).
One year I had it serviced by a different indi: Theirs shows up as 00000 rather than their company name. They didn’t realise they could make an entry on the iDrive until I asked them why it was missing. They went away, registered themselves (as mentioned by Pond), and it showed up. Slightly annoying it’s listed as 000000 rather than a proper name but hey ho.

For me the invoices/receipts are worth keeping as it shows all the detail you need.

can do it yourself through HU-serviceManager if you have INPA installed. takes all of 2 minutes to add records with whatever you want written next to it.

I don't know anything about that so can't comment.

All I know is all my services are added in the correct order and have 0000 and if you clic on any service entry it give a description of what was done.

My comment before still stands though.
