N54 Auto Launch

Hello, i got a Single turbo N54 with the auto transmission. ill be doing drag racing. The problem is, when i press the brake and the throttle, my RPMs only go to 2k, and my turbo needs around 3500 to spool, how can i increase that so my turbo is actually in boost when i launch the car?

You are going to need a high-stall convertor if you really need to get the rpms up to around 3,500 before you build boost. It might be cheaper to sell your turbo and swap it for one that builds boost sooner. That sounds like a pretty laggy setup.

Typical for single turbo n54 to build boost up in the RPM range. This is why is boosting past to red line and makes more power than twin turbo setup can do. Do not waste time and money on current transmission. Go for 8 speed swap with standalone TCU what will allow to achieve what you want.

Yes, a 6HP28 would be the best idea...but then you will still need a high stall converter for it....and a good set of slicks if you want to actually put all the power to the ground 👍
