Style 397s and M Performance (370/345mm) brakes

Does anyone know / can anyone confirm if the Style 397s fit over the Brembo brakes ok?

Looking at a set of 18x8s for winter tyres etc

Cheers

Nice looking wheel, kind a similar to the 442M

I could be wrong, but doesn't the 'M' suffix in the wheel style denote clearance for the big boy brakes?

No idea; but not after anything over 18" as they're solely for winter tyres etc

The 397s can be picked up cheap as far as I can see; but just need to see if they'll fit over the Brembos!

17's won't clear the calipers, 18's minimum.

Staggered would run 8J on fronts and 8.5J on rears.

Not sure what the point of your post is...

I've not mentioned anything re 17s or staggered wheels (which were what the 400Ms were, that I had, and have now sold...)

I don't know about the 397's but I have the 398's which will fit. I think it is only 17 inch wheels that cannot be used.

According to this, they're 12kg for 18x8s:

Quite a lump compared to my current 18" 405Ms which are just over 9kg each!

Ah.... you'll probably notice that then, but not too much hopefully. Slightly lazier turn-in possibly.

9Kg is mental for an 18". Are they forged or flow formed or something?

No idea; but they must be flow formed or similar. They're 9.4kg tyre-less

You could feel a huge difference between them with tyres and the 400Ms with RFT winters I removed!

Not fussed re them being heavier for winters; they're to do a specific job and it's not as if I rag it silly over the colder months anyway!
