I keep getting misunderstood

Does anyone know if the speakers by back window on shelf are 6 1/2s ?

Not subs and not speakers in door or under seats...

Also - if I add amp ( not sub amp) and change stock speakers, is that a big job to wire new speakers ?

Has anyone out there put in a new head unit ?

Crutchfield does not have anything yet on this car...

the rears on the basic stereo setup are actually 3" with a 1" tweeter mounted on a plate right next to them.

yes you can swap the deck, and that with an amp install is kinda a big deal

a new amp shouldn't be too difficult. just bypass the factory one... it's easily accessible in the trunk. if you use the stock wiring for new speakers, it shouldn't hurt too bad.

Sorry, that is not correct.
Midrange units in doors and on the back shelf are 4" (100 mm) on all speaker setups.

I've read elsewhere that rewiring the speakers is nearly impossible. I'd stick with replacing the speakers and the amp.

Speaking of which...what are the connectors like on the stock amp (325 without Logic7)? Would you need some pinouts to know what you are doing? And where would you get them?

German Member 'Tierfreund' knows a lot about that, he swapped his headunit.

There's a thread about it, i'll look it up.

Edit: Here's a thread with lots of information.

Try PM tierfreund.
