Cleaning the Rockers
Well, we’re just exiting winter here in the Midwest. Finally got some warm days! Car got shellacked by salt for months, but nothing got it worse than the GLOSS BLACK rocker panels. How are people cleaning these things? Using one of those orbital guys and a pad? Not sure what to do.

Just wash them as normal. If there are scratches I found a good cleaner wax took the light scratches off with little fuss

Sorry- imprecise terminology. I washed em but they’re scratched. I assumed others would have experienced the same. I’ll try this wax and buff business. FWIW I tried to PPF em with those strips of XPEL you can get on Amazon when I first got the car. I dropped the PPF onto the concrete and the strip was ruined. At that point I said, maybe this ain’t for me lol.

I have used for small areas Sonax Perfect Finish by hand to correct the lower L&R grill parts on the front bumper. I also had ppf from day 1, but if I was to correct it, would use a small 3" orbital.
I would just bring it to a shop, have them correct it and then apply ppf. |
