Some imperfections on my 09 Jet Black E92

I have a 09 Jet Black E92 which is about a 6 weeks old. I noticed the following swirls/holgrams/marrings in a few areas of my car.....

and the following minor imperfections.....

I was wondering what I can do to remove these. I understand that BMW's Jet Black is one of the softest paints around and that marring can occur by simply buffing sealant off the car. I have no experience with a PC or any other machine. I just purchased some Zaino products (i.e ZPC, Z-5pro, Z-2pro, Z-6). I am thinking of purchasing a PC 7424, but I am worried of doing more damage with it. Can hand application of ZPC do the trick? Thanks in advance.

The only way to correctly repair this paint problem is with a high speed rotary polisher using a foam pad system to cut these surface defects out. Follow this up with a D/A polisher such as the Porter Cable using a foam pad as well for the polishing step and then again using the D/A with a finishing pad for your wax or sealant. Unless you have any experience with a high speed polisher, I do not advise you trying it for the first time on your vehicle. If not look into a professional detailing service such as mine that can guarantee the removal, not the cover up of these defects. Alot of time the PC alone will not remove these surface defects, just cover up depending on products or pads used.

We could perform the best detail in the world for you, but its all about maintenance. Proper care techniqes that are kind to your black vehicle will go a long long way in preserving your finish. Avoid carwashes and dealer courtesy washes ALWAYS

Remember that your original paint job is better than a repaint, you only have between 4.5 - 5.5 mils (average) of paint on your vehicle which is as thin as a plastic garbage bag liner.

Avoid butcher and hack shops that claim to be detailers

**Remember one thing before you hire that next guy to detail your fine automobile.....

Thanks Dave for your reply. As I am sure I will be doing some damage to the paint literally every week, I was hoping to learn how to do some of the processes myself. Other than the ones near the mirror, do you think I can remove the others with hand application of the Zaino ZPC? I may just go ahead and get a PC and practice on my old black jeep wrangler before I try anything on the BMW.

hand applications cannot FIX this, but you can get stuff to hide it. not worth it imo

SpecC and I gave you the true answer.....Hiding is just SMOKE AND MIRRORS. Your car deserves better than that, and so do you.

Detail your car or have it detailed and learn how to wash it properly by reading this sticky. Well worth it.
Good Luck
