At last!!! Car is in Production!!

Oh...My...GOD... 1 Month 8 Days after I ordered it, my car went into production at 6:28am this morning, will be done on the 21st of January!

Got the Partial VIN from the rep. (the automated number still had no status change, but the rep pulled up the latest info for me)

FINALLY, now I can obsess on if it'll make it to Bremerhaven for the boat leaving on the 28th or not

I finally feel like things are making progress, that wait for production to start was epic long.

I know the feeling... I ordered the first week of Nov and the car finally went into Prod on Jan 5th.

Yup, that 1 month plant closure really impacted the delivery.

i ordered on dec 26 and have NO update no production number no order number from my SA. should i have anything right now? i am seriously beginning to regret ordering this car knowing the plants are F***ing closed...

Took a day for the automated 800 number and website to catch up, but seeing this as I logged into the bmwusa site this morning, made me very happy

My car still doesn't show the right equipment and color on the tracking site. My CA sent me a screenshot of my car in the order system so I know it's right and the site doesn't show my car scheduled for production either. Last I had heard from my CA, he said he would contact me when he had a production date. A poster on bimmerfest had written the Regensburg plant from a form on their website and had received a prompt response from a real human with his production date. So I Googled the plant, found the contact form and sent a request and the next morning when I checked my email I had a nice response from a real human telling me that my car would be built next week. My CA still hasn't called or emailed.

Heh, congrats to everyone who's ordered their car and now are awaiting delivery. I took delivery of mine in October after waiting for almost four months (originally ordered in July). The wait is effin' horrible, but it'll all be worth it in the end.

my car has never shown the right options, just the correct color and interior (takes about a week for the colors to update)

now that my car is in production, all the options have disappeared, for the 3rd time.

I think it's pretty normal for the website to not be correct until late in the process.

Yes, this is normal. The website will alternate between the wrong options and no options at all. If you're at all worried about the status of your options, have your CA pull up your order on their dealerspeed.net site and copy and paste the contents in an e-mail for you. That is the authoritative source for your order, not BMWNA's site.
