Question Does the EU-e93 first-aid under seat storage tray fit under sport seats? Update: yes.

UPDATE:

Bought the box, but didn't buy the 3 M6x12 bolts you need, because BMW was asking €13 per bolt (no, not a joke).

Found the bolts online, and they fit just fine (once I found the correct hole).

Put it on the passenger seat, and I'm glad I didn't buy 2, as it comes out in your foot area a bit. If you're a driver that likes to put your left foot on the back of the mat/slightly under the seat, that's not gonna happen if you buy this box for the driver seat. So I'm leaving it at only the passenger seat.

Also, keep in mind, the size you actually get in the box is NOT very much. I had a small first aid (car version) kit already loose behind the seat, which I put in this box, but, it barely fit, I really had to smush it in. So don't expect to store a lot in there.
Also it has the green cross so storing anything besides an aid box doesn't make much sense.

Picture time!

-------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 19/05

So I have an EU e93. In the manual it has a page on the first aid box being in a box under the front seat. I checked both seats, I really don't have them.

I looked it up. Found a thread on it:

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238190

Which only talks about e92/e90 retrofitting them.

They should have come in all EU e93's. Since I don't have them, will they maybe not fit? In the realoem diagram:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/showpart...76&hg=52&fg=25

I think I see a normal seat. I do have the sport seats with extendable leg support.

So basically it should fit in any EU e93, but, maybe not under sport seats? Has anyone ever seen these boxes under a sport seat? If yes, I can order safely.

Thanks!

Seats in this thread with the kit are sport seats.

Thank you! Ordering 2 then! Just one issue, BMW asks €13 per screw (number 07149169302 ) so I'm gonna try and find alternatives for those because that's not the price I think a screw should be worth, especially since I need 4.

Watch the screw length. I did this same update to my E46 ZHP vert sport seat and a screw too long interferes with the leg support extender

I know, I wish I could look up the BMW screw specs.

RealOEM calls out the same screw BMW part number for the E46 as the E93, but if I recall, the screws that I used on the E46 box were simply M6x12 1/2 inch

Threads on the screw look like any coarse threaded screw you can find at a hardware store.

Well I ordered the box and bracket, and I'll find some cheap none-BMW screws somewhere probably.

I only ordered 1 set for now, because in that picture in the bimmerfest thread it looks like it might not be great placement for the driver, seeing I sometimes put my left leg somewhat back under the seat.

Are you sure it's M6x12 (as in M6 x12mm)? Local hardware store doesn't have that (Netherlands). It's kinda hard to find this size

Get a longer M6 bolt with the right head and hacksaw off the end down to size. Taper/file down the cut edge.

Bicycle shops will have buckets of M6 bolts, but usually with a hex head and not sure if the head might be too tall.

Found the m6x12 online and they came in today, I'll see tomorrow if I can get the box in the car. Thanks!

the box and required screws are the same for the e9X and the e46. The 07149169302 screw is M6x12 about 1/2" long

Thanks you said that earlier and I ordered them online.

When you say M6x12 you don't have to add the length. 6mm is the thread width and 12mm is the length. Pretty useful that metric system!
