19"s, H&R, 12mm All Around

Had the X-Mas springs and spacers installed at BHS yesterday (thanks everyone for that recommendation.) I am very pleased with the result. I really can't tell that much of a difference in ride quality as far as stiffness goes. Depending on the quality/state of the concrete, I do experience a little wheel shimmy at speed on the freeway, but it isn't there at all on asphalt. I also have to be very careful coming into and out of the driveway.

Plenty of pics:

Looks great! How much is the drop - front 1", rear .6"? Are those the 12mm H&R hubcentric wheel spacers?

Most probably you will need to re-tighten the wheel bolts. The spacers could not be completely inserted into the hub.

No issues with the tires rubbing. My egress and ingress from the driveway/garage is now an issue though.

On some patches of concrete, I get a little steering wheel shimmy. On others, I don't.

Pretty close to that, and yes, the spacers are H&R as well.

Need to recheck them anyway since they are new lugs...thx for the suggestion.

I called a few locals and actually had an quote for $800 (but that wasn't Mathews.) On a couple of recommendations, I went to Joel at Bavarian Hyper Sports. He charged me $360. They are kind of far out (near Willowbrook Mall) but he seems to know what he's about.

I got the springs from Turner and the spacers from IND. I think that IND has a better price for the springs, but as these were a Christmas present, I didn't have a whole lot of input on where to purchase them from.

That looks great Sean! I love how the OEM wheels look just a bit closer to the fenders!

Joel at BHS is one of the most credible sources of information that I've ever come across (for the e46 at least, not sure how deep they have dived into the e9X platform yet). I purcashed my BBS RS-GTs from him a few years back...

That being said... put your foot down and tell your girl not to drink in your car. I see that goofy ass straw... Don't want to sticky up your leather :P

Looks amazing. If I'm getting an M, it will be set up very similarly.

I still am not sure if there are any reliability drawbacks with the aftermarket springs (and HR seems to be more on the safe side than others from what I've read), but there is no denying the looks is simply awesome.

Do spacers mess up the handling of these cars?

Looks really good. I wish BMW gave the production M3 the same drop that the M3 Concept (or even the E90 335i, for that matter) has.

And it wouldn't be an M3 photoshoot without the obligatory bored wife/GF in the passenger seat

You will hardly feel any difference.. I have 15 mm H&R all-around (Mini).. no problems at all very stable car.

In fact, the turn-in actually improved a bit.

I think the phrase before we left for the Dr Pepper was, 'Don't you need to take some pictures of Helga for the carporn guys?'

and fyi, she calls the car Helga, not me.
