Talking Recession? What recession?

Just a bit of positivity in all this doom and gloom about the economy.

This week so far my business has acheivced better sales than in the first week of any January EVER, and by some margain. and we still have the rest of today and tomorrow to go.

We've had a meeting and i basically told my workforce that our attitude needs to be 100% positive, totally focused, dedicated to our tasks and lets work our nuts off.

And its f**king worked.

Dont let the bastards grind you down.

You make and sell nooses?

Is that why you're doing so well?

being serious for a second - nice one, got any jobs? The companies that can win in a "recession" are the ones that are well managed, and have a good future etc...

The business I work for (care home group) is doing very well, and has just received £50m investment to build more homes.

Which is nice.

Good stuff. Happy for you. The recession will weed out weaker businesses with poor standards or an inefficient business model. Professional well run companies should survive and many will even prosper.

Great news steve, and some great advice, stay possitive and it helps massively, nothing worse than dealing with miserable gits

My company had our busiest pre-christmas period in 10 years too. Im not too worried about this years trading and am quietly confident. But being anything but cautious would be a mistake.

Good luck to everyone, as Steve rightly says ... STAY POSSITVE
