how do you put music on a SD card???

so i got the lg dare from verizon and with it i got a 2gb sd card for some music. Anyway the phone came with a usb cord but i heard if you have a sd card reader (which i have on my laptop) its much easier. Anyway I'm trying to transfer my songs from microsoft media player but can't seem to get the songs on my phone i see the device on my right hand in mmp (so my computer did recognize it ), but once i sync my music with it nothing appears on my phone. btw all songs are in mp3 format

I also heard a easier way is if you just open the sd card files on my computer you can just drag songs to the music folder with the right click. I don't know I'm mad confused i knew i should have payed attention in computer class i could of learned something . Anyway I've gotten a lot of computer help from here before and it would awesome if someone could help me out once more

You need to install the program that Verizon includes with the phone. Compared to iTunes and other popular music applications, it blows but it's the easiest way to add songs to your phone's memory card.

Who pays for their music these days? No, I did not mean buying songs like iTunes. It's just their own application that let's you drag and drop any MP3 files into your phone's SD card.
