navigation questions
I just bought the US spec 330i with cold weather, Sport package, Navigation, Blue tooth etc. Do you know where I can get the NAV disk for all of Italy and Germany (or all of Europe). Also, will the US spec version get the traffic warnings that the EU versions get? Is there a way to get TV on the US spec model, I know they can on the EU model.
Sorry for all the questions. My wife and I just watched all the videos and are so excited!!!!! Two other people at my work bought the 330i on the same day I did. Mike |

Hoah, unfortunately you can't get TV on the US spec model. Only way would be to get some aftermarket modification to get it to be able to display TV, or maybe when these cars come out someone will figure out an easy way to adapt the nav screen with euro spec parts in order to get TV. Unforunately US DOT has made it illegal to have TV's playing at the front of a car.
Since you're a gadet guy, did you get the IPOD dock (to be able to control it via the steering wheel)? |

I talked to the dealer in regards to ordering the euro headlights. The dealer can't get anything euro without keeping within US guidlines. He suggested that I order from aftermarket vendors.

The message regarding the nav discs should be a sticky at the top of the ED forum there. Have a safe and great trip to Europe! Also don't forget to stay out of the left lane |

I can't afford $2900 navigation. I was planning to get a bluetooth GPS receiver and use it with my bluetooth enabled PocketPC/PDA.
$100 something for the GPS receiver and just load the software on it. Anybody used this combo before? |

On our last road trip, I had a 20GB MP3 player hooked up as well so there were a bunch of wires and plugs that need to be put away each time I left the car. Also, the quality of the navigation software varies from vendor to vendor. Some may not provide updates to the maps... |

Hoah, It's very possible that there is an aftermarket mfr. that will come out with a Modification Kit to the Nav. to enable DVD playback and TV. I remember back when I had my Acura TL, I saw a post in a forum about this and there was a mfr. already selling it. |

Map disc
I have a pro-nav E60 and was able to make a backup disc for my own use using titanium toast on my mac. I could let you borrow it if you like.........all assuming the e60 disc will work in an e90
