330i v.s. 330xi - Gas mileage difference
Interested in knowing what the MPG difference is between the 330 and the 330xi, both city and highway. I understand the 330i gets roughly 21 in city and 30+ highway.
Input is greatly appreciated as I may be picking up a 330i on Sunday. |

I've owned both... Hardly any.
I had sport package on both, and the 158 17" wheels on the xi, though they have questionable looks, are more efficient than the heavy 162 18" on the i. Once I swapped the i to 17" winter set, I'm getting perhaps 2mpg better, before that they were the same. (Both cars were 6MT) |

Another thing to note:
I tried different grades of gas(I know it calls for premium) Two tanks of 89 octane - both about 21.3 Two tanks of 87 octane - both about 19.6 Then one tank of 93 octane - 21.4 I run the mid-grade. Everyone can flame away, but it will fall on deaf ears. |
