Heads-up: software 07/2022.58 issues

I just got the option to install an updated 07/2022.58 remote software upgrade, which I duly did.

On my vehicle (a 2021 UK version M5C LCI) the upgrade erased any stored settings: the seat memory and M1/M2 settings were blank after the upgrade. Other settings seem to be intact afterwards (climate control rules, dashboard setup etc.), although I'll need a few days to be sure of this.

So if you upgrade and your other half has been driving the car, make sure the seat is set for you before doing the upgrade!

Also, my Connected Drive credentials were reset and I needed to enter them again.

I'm debating whether I want to upgrade at all.

With all that you mentioned and the idea that it will likely reset my headlight coding requiring paying to have it redone.

I just completed the upgrade, M1/M2 still set, can't confirm the seats but will. After completing the upgrade I cannot find what it actually did for iDrive 7, as I see no difference.

So glad I didn't mess around with this right away. Thank you for sharing!

I just got prompted for this update today. Anyone know what functionality if anything changes with this update? Anything to consider before updating if you have a Racechip installed?

I just updated this 15 minutes ago. I lost nothing. Still have my M1 and M2 configurations. Seat position still ok and no changes in any of my climate settings or remote start. I have a 2023 M5 though, I've seen lots of settings affected in 2021 models. I'm sure all the bimmercodes will be erased

No real change that I can notice yet, but the M2 SPORTS PLUS has a louder exhaust sound and pop.

I got the notification this week to update, but haven't had the chance yet since I was out of town.

I have a 2021 X5MC. Installed the update yesterday. So far I only had to re check remote start (but that is always the case after an update), M1, M2, seat memories, etc. are all the same.
