Looks like a good opportunity for the 1st meet of the year.
May be an advantage for those without RWD though at the start of Feburary.

Yay! Even if I don't own an £90 I'll still want to see us win! with Carlos and the dxb representing.
Hopefully I'll have a 944 again or a TVR wedge by spring to come and show you how it's done big lol as Carlos would "Muller" me in Essex speak.

I wouldn't put money on who would be bringing home the trophy... Vtec Abuser has a seriously quick car...
Plus I would assume he has also put the invite up on ASN and there are some very rapid cars on that site. One chaps running a 450bhp BT conversion on his 8P car... Plus he is a driver for the Aston race team so know's how to pedal a bit. J. |

I don't think Ben (VTec Abuser) did 13.2 in his Ed30 - he has always got VERY good times, though. I didn't beleive his times until someone verified them, TBH
Also, I don't think he has 400 bhp - probably more like 340-360bhp - I can find out if you want? I would've thought it was quite a close match, apart from your RWD and torque

You only manage similar times, eh?, with more power, torque and RWD? (just trying to wind you up into going)

I'd do it if i had a lsd on mine, but I'm scared of monster wheel spin.
which adds seconds ... but on a roll I'm sure i'd do the golf even if it had jumped ahead. i'd catch it on a quater mile no probs, E92 335i 450 lbs/ft 400bhp + or -

Ah evening chaps..
Just happened to be walking by and heard my name being mentioned.. Anyway, obviously a newbie on here (regarding posts), but have visited a few times to be fair.. Although the forum shootout was initialy meant to be for Hot hatches, it seems to of attracted a bit of attention. But with it being a public RWYB day, obviously anyone can attend.. Have seen a few of you boys at Pod before actually and fancied a run along side a 335 (seeing as the mapped ones were running very similar times and terminals to me), but never happened in the end. But if any of you do make it on the 1st Feb, i'd be happy to have a friendly blast (although you may have to sit and wait for me to get off the line with this weather .. Oh and my 13.2 @ 107mph was done with Stage 1 Remap and exhaust (315-320bhp), so not really what I would call highly tuned. Be interesting to see Carlos' timing slip to compare with mine to see where the cars are quicker/slower etc.. Anyway nice forum chaps.. |

Hopefully Carlos and maybe one of the remapped 335i boys might be up for this. I would come along but my other half is expecting anytime now so I wouldn't get away with it!!! If you do a quick search then you may find a thread or two with timing slips posted from the Pod. I think Carlos's best time was 13.4 ish so fairly close but he may go quicker in these cooler conditions as the 335d shouldn't have too many problems launching. Looking forward to the times etc... Jules. |
