Tried a bunch from Amazon, Alibaba, AliExpress, etc online retailers, non of the wireless chargers I ordered so far actually charge the phone while phone is in use for Apple Car play or Android Auto.

I know a type C cable would solve the problem but I just don't like those cables being around.

Anyone found a decent aftermarket wireless charger? How you manage those cables to keep a clean looking center? Need some ideas 💡

Thank you!

Unfortunately, no. Every charger struggles to charge iPhone 12-14.
I am thinking of taking the case from such charger and putting official Apple MagSafe one in it…

Well, from my experience, any charger with fast charging heats the phone, but this one charges and doesn't just maintain, at least from my experience. I remove it when I am out with the group so I can use my radar, which is one of the nice things I like about it. I didn't tape it down, which you can do, and it is relatively easy to remove takes a little tug and up to get it out, but when you have it installed, you can't tell if something is there since it is flush with the cup holder.

I think it also has a lot to do with the phone model itself, I tested this wireless charger and neither my iPhone 14 Pro Max nor Pixel 7 Pro were able to maintain the battery level while phone connected to the car and have both Maps and Spotify running maybe modern pro phone just consume too much battery I do like the look though, it definitely looks like an OEM product when installed!

I guess that means the l loss of the USB A data port. Probably not an issue if there’s a USB C data port in armrest, but BMW appears to have deleted the USB C data capability on the X3 more recently. So, if you use USB for music this may be an issue,
Not with the one I have. There are a few different ones, and I still have a 12 pro max. A little slot on the right allows you to use it still. And yes, I do not have any USB in the armrest, so I ensured it was still open.

The cigarette outlet powers the one I have, leaving the USB open for me to use. They have both options though. I am not a smoker, so it doesn’t matter much to me, and when I have my radar plugged in, I use the USB rather than Bluetooth to connect my phone
