Is there a way to make the air suspension lower to the max when a 2023 45e is shut off? Making it easier to get in and out of. I've looked but can't seem to find a way.

Something many have asked for but unfortunately no way to do it.

you can toggle the suspension level switch before you open the door to exit, or you're wanting something 'automatic'? if auto, then no options (factory or coding) are available. I perform the former regularly, toggling it as I near the end of parking. <5 seconds and it's down

Just be very careful what you ask for. I see auto lowering as an expansive repair waiting to happen when car lower itself onto something after it is parked and engine off.
If I can choose, the only auto lower sense is speed dependent setting, lower a b it at high speed. Other than that, I want no automation on this. Current G05 change height depend on driver mode already bother me.

Note, if you open a door while it's lowering, it will stop. The reason, I think, is to prevent the open door getting hung up on something nearby. If you were parked off-road, and there might be something underneath, you could damage things as the vehicle settled down onto it (maybe a rock you easily rode over while getting there). So, IMHO, there are reasons why it's not a great idea to have this happen automatically.
There are modes that, while driving, once you reach a specific speed, will lower the vehicle for better aeodynamics. |

This may be what you are referring to but for others, there is a Dynamic level to the air suspension where it will automatically lower it 10mm if you are not in Sport and you are going between 87 and 124mph and 20mm if you are going above 124.

Having that said, I am not sure I will be able to go they fast for a while. I will always have wife and 2 kids in it, one 4yrs old, one new born. Wife will kick me out of the car and ask me to drive on my own in other car if I try to go too fast or pull a fast highway ramp. 😅😅

The thing was designed in Germany where those speeds are legal (at least in places), and expected with a vehicle like this...the average driver in the USA wouldn't know how to handle the huge potential disparity of speeds found on your typical Autobahn where a truck might be at 80km/hr or slower going up a grade, and a Porsche might be at nearly triple that.

yea no auto lowering and it bothers me to the max... in off-road situations perhaps not a good idea.
But in a city where the lowered G05 is still standing taller than any other sedan (in ground clearance), let alone all those supercars which crawl this city... it's utterly stupid to not allow the user to choose to activate such a function. Or at least offer a factory self-deploying side-step like Land Rover... Ideally both |
