E92 seat adjustment cable broke. The one that controls forward and backwards motion.
So a couple months ago my seat cable snapped on my passenger seat. Fortunately it’s in an OK spot that you can sit in it and not be too uncomfortable. I would like to get it fixed. I’ve seen a few videos on how to replace the cable or at least make it work again, BUT I am completely unable to reach the front mounting bolts.
Is there any way to slide the seat manually? I’ve done some car seats where you can put a drill where the motor is and slide it that way, but obviously the cable I need to adjust is broken. Any advice? Hell even if I can just manually move it to a better spot, I can live with that. Thank you. |

You can raise the seat all the way up and remove the front bolts holding the seat onto the seat rails, then tilt the seat back and get the front seat rail bolts out.
