335 broken into and no alarm!
So I was at a buddys condo in a good neighborhood Friday afternoon and went out to my car around 8pm to find my drivers side window exploded all over the interior of my car and my passport 9500 gone!
Sh-- happens and scumbags are every where even in this good neighborhood so I can eventually get over that. My problem is that I parked in the very first spot maybe 150ft from my buddys 2nd floor place where we had the windows open and there was never a peep from the alarm. My cousin told me his friend had a similar problem with his 2006 330. Do I have a case battling this with BMW considering my window was shattered and this asshole reached in my car without a peep? Has anyone experienced this? |

there is motion sensor in the factory alarm so it should've gone off.. maybe your 9500 was near the left of driver side and they can grab it w/o triggering alarm.

+1 As unbelievable as it sounds, an alarm system is a dealer installed option.

There is no such thing. It IS a dealer-installed option. An easy DIY job, too, if you don't mind doing some wrenching on your own.

OMG i was thinking holy fuck if i paid this much extra for this fucking thing and it doesn't even work for window break in i'm going to be fucking pissed!!! Then i got the vibe that this guy thinks his car came stock with an alarm. . . (which btw i think it should and its fucking bullshit we have to pay extra for it. It's a fucking BMW. . . Install the damn alarm standard! My mercedes did) Anyways. . . don't think you have an alarm bud |

I was never sure if I had one. I thought since I had the "clown nose" I did, but it never falshes or beeps upon lock/unlock like my dad's 5. Didn't know the beeping had anything to do with it. Anyone know how much it would cost to activate the alarm on an 06 330?

^ i didnt mean to repeat it so blatantly, but i guess it should be stressed :P
i think these cars come with sensors for everything... even the detection of a misfire due to a misplaced DNA strand, but no alarm! hehe
