Recent Canadian Deals?

Looking to buy an 09 328 Xi E91 to replace my '06 wagon.

Just wondering if anyone had any recent experience with discounts on new '09's. Looking for a straight cash purchase, I think last year the discounts off MSRP ranged from 4-6%, judging by this forum. Is that still a valid benchmark?

Thanks for the updates, sounds like I should go in with an offer at around 6% off and see what they say...

Did you get nailed with doc fees or other adders, or just straight % off MSRP?

Off the lot vs. order?

I was looking at a custom order. Should I still expect a discount, or is it only to move the existing stock?

Thanks

Tom

I placed my order a week ago for a new build, and they were very eager to deal.

Dealer made me an offer better than the discount I had expected upthread, with no extra add on charges.

This is my 3rd BMW from this dealer so there is some loyalty value, but I would think most dealers will be flexible in this economy.

Enquire about the Alternative Delivery Credit special offer. It has been available in Toronto for most, if not all, new 2009 models, since the start of May and presumably it is also available throughout the rest of Canada even though it is not presently advertised on the BMW Canada web site. It is a factory-to-dealer cash purchase credit that is applied on all new cash purchases and previously placed cash orders awaiting delivery. The credit should not affect how much can be negotiated off the retail price of the vehicle.

I think I got a decent deal

2009 E92 BMW 335i with all options
$59500

I got about $4000 off including a $2500 cash rebate for a total of $6500.

called 2 weeks ago, the BMW dealer over the phone gave me 4K off, and that was on a 36 month lease. So anything below 4K off on a 59K BMW is a ripoff.
Their sales are tanking, from month to month... the buyer is in the drivers seat it feels, just call a million dealers, until you find the one that wants to sell a car.

Questions.

1. Is that for a sedan or coupe?
2. Automatic or manual?
3. In stock vehicle or custom build?
