Loving the car, but I really miss my active cruise control. Does anyone know if the radar units and other updates can be retrofitted on my 2023 m5 base ?

If you know what you are doing you could try to trace the wiring harnesses to see if the connectors exist as a start or simply research whether there are variations to the main wiring harness or whether there is a universal one and options are done through subharnesses. The system ties into a few things so there would also be coding involved. Definitely a good idea to try to find someone who has done or attempted or fully researched the job.

When my 2018 was in an accident that damaged part of the wiring harness, the shop has some problems finding the right harness and it took 3 tries to get the right part. I don’t know which harness was the issue but they said the main engine harness was replaced (there was a cracked connector and they did not want to patch since they had to warranty the work even though this resulted in doubling the insurance cost).
