The 325, 328 and 330 have the same engine I believe, with various tuning differences to account for the different output. They probably are right to say that the 328 is most like the old 330.
335 is a different beast altogether :-) I haven't experienced any of the mechanical problems they referred to - A/C, power steering, water pump - but I have had a lot of the interior trim replaced under warranty. The finish on some of the replacement pieces are now starting to peel too. |

Warning: Impending Thread hijack:
So I've been away for two weeks, and of course, I came back to a dead battery today. Just got a boost from roadside and restarted the car to find I couldn't shift out of park. The warning graphic had a picture of a gear, with an exclamation mark in it. Called the dealer - they said that it was a possible tranny problem. Let the battery charge, turned the car off, then back on again. Warning light disappeared and the car reversed out of the garage with no problems. Now the airbag light is on, which I am also sure will go away next time I start it. Anyone else have problems with warning lights coming on like this and then just going away? AND With no warranty left and 130k on the car, should I take a nice big financial hit and trade it in? I'm now concerned that a real tranny problem may not be far off, and I shudder at the thought of what a repair might cost. |
