Fujita Dyno Results for e90 330i

Found this on the Fujita Website and just figured that some of you people would like to know the info. Don't know how true it is but looks pretty damn accurate to me.

Me too. I might have to pick up one of these intakes. I wish other companies had intakes. Hopefully soon.

Funny how a steptronic 330i is dynoing about the same numbers as Guess' 325i manual. Is the 2nd gear test affecting the results?

too bad we don't have any pre-install dynos on hunter's car. we don't know if it actually caused a gain or loss. we are looking at rear wheel HP not flywheel HP right?

No dyno results are going to show the correct numbers with Steptronic cars. The gain (or losses) are accurate but the numbers are off because you cannot get a full 4th gear run from the car. For some reason the car kicks the gear down before redline in 4th gear. You can get a full run in 2nd gear and 3rd however they will show incorrect TQ and HP numbers.

Hunters results are just as faulty as anyone else because he did not do a stock pre-install run on the dyno for comparison. My TQ numbers were off because we could only do 3rd gear pulls.

We need someone with a stock MT E90 to purchase an intake and do before and after runs, only then can we make judgments of these products.

I won't mention names, but it's too bad Fujita retracted their offer to sponsor a couple of e90post members who had manual transmissions (325i and 330i), both of whom would have offered their cars for pre- and post-install dynos. The company's insincerity to follow-through with it's promise has not helped its reputation.

after Hunter's thread, the fajita jokes, and what not, Fujita is probably pretty pissed off at us...

Just out curiousty, have people been completely shutting down the DTC/DSC (holding the DTC button for 3+ seconds) when trying to run dyno's on a steptronic? I'm only asking because I don't believe I'll seen any mention of it. If not since that is supposed to help with the kickdown I wonder it that will help the car gets a full run in 4th gear? Just a thought......

Hunter's doesn't show anything other than what he made with the intae on. He didn't get his car dyno'd before on the same dyno without the intake, so we DO NOT and CAN NOT know if he lost or gained power!

WHAT IF! we made a fund. on this forum and people could each give in a few bucks. Then i would have some money to dyno before and after on my MT 325i..

Yes we do, w/ Fujita=he loses to stock 325, w/o Fujita he beats stock 325. End of story.

We would love to bring in the 330 and 325 manuals to do a before and after test. It would allow us to do more research and look for improvements. I have asked others here if they recall getting any calls about test pieces and nobody has heard anything. If anybody is interested in bringing their stock vehicle to Temecula, CA, we can do a before and after dyno run for you. As for the 2nd gear test in the automatic, we could not get the vehicle to hold gear. However, the stock intake and modified intake were both done in the same gear. Please email me at ryan@f5air.com if you are interested. The intake will be free for you as well as the dyno time.
