So target boost is 18.6 with 16 at redline. I'm quite far off and have no clue what the cause could be. 5k miles on 1step colder plugs and coils.
Any help is appreciated Thanks! Mods ARM DP CTS 7.5in Intercooler ARM CP and BOV MHD https://datazap.me/u/black335x/log-1...mark=96-105-86 |

seems normal boost for stock turbos. you will start to see them drop off around 5000rp. 14-15psi at 6000 rpm is normal

seems like a leak or something. Usually, a leak when ur boost target is about 1-2 psi under. The usual drop after 5000rpm is relevant and it happens on a lot of cars. (especially us ije0s version)
Heres my log https://datazap.me/u/tochez/3-and-4t...=1&data=3-4-20 Same exact issue as yours (althought I still havent solve my problem yet) My two guesses are 1) Turbos giving out, if your seeing a lot of oil on our inlet pipe for ur IC, ur turbos are likely the culprit 2) some sort of leak (possible boost solenoids) <-- thats the only thing I havent changed out, Ive done leak down tests and stuff and everything seems good,. How much miles does ur car have?

I dont know, maybe ur tmap sensor? Have you figured out your problem yet/
If its not your IC, inlet or outlet, then it has to be ur charge pipe.

Are your turbos original? Got any wastegate rattle? Vacuum lines are due and is cheap and easy to do, even if it turns out to be preventative. I don't know of a good way to test solenoids aside from process of elimination. If you're sure you're not leaking at IC/CP connections, I'd do vacuum lines next and then solenoids after that. If at that point it's still below and you're very sure about the past things, time to look at your turbos. Could be the wastegates getting tired. Eventually that will require replacement but adjusting the wastegates may buy you some time if that's the issue.
I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet though, there are a LOT of simpler/cheaper things it can be. |
