some people with other bmw models have been going this route to black out their trim. i was never a fan of using tape.

I think blacking out is the only way to go if you have black or SG. M5's are blacked out too, and they are one of the most expensive bemers.

i don't know if its good for lighter colored cars though. this just looks like electrical tape!

If anyone likes that 'blacked" out look, great, just DO IT RIGHT!!! Get the actual pieces and install them! Tape is just wrong for a nice car. Hell, I wouldn't even tape up my Hondas.

?? Not here in my neck of the woods! No tape on any of my cars. On my prelude, the only tape I had was 2 bayareaprelude.com stickers on the rear quarter windows!

we would buy reflector tape (red) and cut it out and place over amber on prelude Gen4. Trust me, it didnt look bad if you did it properly. Basically it was an overlay.

I know though, this is BMW, and the purists would have a heart attack!

Don't know, i think the vinyl overlays on the front headlamps looks good, but i know a lot of people think its not kosher.
