Please post your MACO fee, dealer fee charged by your dealer
I'm trying to create a document on different fees charged by dealerships to make ordering process easier for new. I've been seeing many posts with confusion over dealer fees, MACO fees , training fees etc. To make things easier for ordering a new car I want to create this document on pricing . So if you could please post the MACO fees, typical dealership fees in your state or city that would be helpful .
MACO fee is charged in some cities . That's the advertising fee for example the chicago city has an advertising site called http://www.chicagolandbmw.com; which I guess is maintained by BMW NA Note: Some dealerships in these cities may not charge this fee; but if you are trying to work the order based on invoice, the chances are that the MACO fee would be charged Chicago MACO fee: $200 Doc fee: $150 philadelphia MACO fee: $100 ( I'm not sure about this, but i saw a post stating $100) I will create a final draft once I collect the information about other cities . |

It reallly varies by state ( the doc fee) since some states are regulated while others aren't ( which means they can charge whatever they like ) and some charge as high as 700 or more,so even if you're getting the car at XXX -XXXX over invoice, you're really paying much more.As for MACO,these fees vary greatly depending on the region and the size of the market.Good luck, this is a major undertaking !

I was told by a PA dealer that the MACO fee (advertising fee plus doc fee) is part of the dealer invoice and therefore, is paid by the dealer. That's why it's being passed on to me. I recall seeing similar fees on the dealer invoice when I bought my Audi TT last summer.
