Q on taking off the Lip Spoiler
My car is going back shortly and since I have some scratches that require painting or BMW will charge me $1600, I gave it to a shop that will do it for half the cost. So anyway, I asked the guy to take off my lip spoiler and he refused saying he may damage the paint on the drunk or break the spoiler...
The spoiler was installed by a shop that the dealer uses and it seems to be attached by 3M tape. Should it be hard to take off? I don't want to just throw it away by returning the leased car... |

If they used 3M tape, just use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the spoiler/tape and using nylon fishing wire or dental floss to get between the tape and paint. It will not damage the paint to remove.
