Why are there no 3” charge pipes?

Why? The E90 platform with the tiny PWG turbo has it, but we don't?

Pretty low effort from these aftermarket companies lately, but what else is new.

I'm kinda salty about aftermaket companies who charge a premium for products with little to no R&D on it. My favorite is when they make the part out of CF as an excuse to charge more than they otherwise should be able to get away with charging...

I think wagner evo 3 is the only larger CP option. Arent they all 3'' at the TB side? The main thing is the IC outlet is smaller, so in order to make a larger CP like wagner 3, you need to make a IC that only works with your CP, or you have an immediate step up on size after the IC

That's correct, as far as I know it's the only one. The thing is VRSF and BMS, and I think even ARM would sell intercoolers on the E90 platform with the option to utilize a full diameter charge pipe, vs the standard size.

If you wanted to do this on our cars, it would require a new cold side and partial chargepipe.

I like to see the engineering evident in a design. And quality of materials, workmanship and finish.

6061-T6 is aero-spec aluminum, stronger and machinable to tighter tolerances. Thoughtful modular design makes assembly easier. Obviously bigger volume throughout. Plus better non-OE IC seals.

Yeah, that other one never went on my car…
